(3) new CD's available in the last couple of weeks, in case you missed them.
ROYAL DRUG - DEFEND DEGENERACY CD
Excellent Hardcore Punk from Albuquerque, NM. in the vein of Siege and Infest. A sense of urgency permeates all tracks (15 tracks/15 minutes), and they get straight to the point. Groovy in spots and full of that ABQ sun-baked angst. 4-panel Digipak.
MACRONYMPHA - LIVE IN PITTSBURGH CD
Document of a live show on 6/16/22 at COLLISION in Pittsburgh, PA, featuring Joe Roemer, John Grimaldi & Henry Rial as MACRONYMPHA. Harsh and heavy as to be expected. Hand-numbered edition of 200 in a 7" sleeve.
MO*TE - KILL THE SUN CD
A 60-minute long epic track diving deep into the brain of Fumiyuki Nagura, aka MO*TE, and the fog surrounding him and his mind. Strap in and take a ride on his wave length. Hand-numbered edition of 200 in a DVD case.
A compilation of Japanese noise artists entitled "Capturing The Wind" is being sent off to press, with tracks from Kazumoto Endo, Spore Spawn, K2, scum, Thirdorgan, KAZUYA ISHIGAMI, Astro, NP, Kazuma Kubota, Government Alpha, P.O.V., Hiroyuki Chiba, MO*TE, and K. Endo & Kaori Komura. Originally scheduled for 5/14, but due to production delay, end of May/beginning of June is more likely.
Upcoming in mid to late Summer is a 4-CD reissue of the original "Slave Labour, Vol I & II" direct from the master tapes, and some time after that a reissue of Macronympha's seminal release, and personal favorite "Whorechestra", as a 3-CD set, including original Whorechestra session materials. Both to be faithfully reproduced using original art, and in keeping with DIY aesthetic. No concrete release date has been set for either, so things may bleed into the months following Summer. Stay tuned.
Also on the block sooner than later, "Deep In The Heart", a compilation of Texas noise artists, representing a superb lineup of existing projects from all over Texas. Those that responded to the invite, anyway. Early Summer projected.
